Katie is thinkin that Aunt Erin needs to stop watchin football in the basement and get moving! The ladies arrived in the middle of College football Saturday (thank goodness for a Longhorn bye week!), but I got to watch the key games and highlights anyways during naptime!
On our way through the corn maze. Something I would have thought hokey on any other day but it was pretty fun because Katie LOVED it. Or maybe it was the boy in the next pic she loved.
Katie was meandering through the maze until she spotted and pointed at this little boy and off she went chasing him...let's hope that is the only boy she chases. I had to run at a quick clip to catch the little flirt.
Where's that boy?
I was the only one willing to get my pic made in the witch cutout...
Bubbles! Dirty germy bubble water! Gross! But, Katie loved it and I was willing to make the sacrifice...
Sister cuteness!
Oh yeah...the footie pajamas were totally worth the special trip to Target...
Grammy and Katie in Boulder...I think Katie spotted a hippie...
Me coveting Sticks art at the Boulder art coop.
Katie v. snail...
Katie in Uncle Luke's size 13 boots getting ready for Uncle Luke to babysit. She was very happy until after dinner when she ran to the door and starting pulling on the blinds screaming for Mommy. Uncle Luke was very worried and texted me while we were at dinner. I told him to give her a passie and put her to bed. He sat by the bed while she cried herself to sleep. Not such a good babysitting experience for Uncle Luke but Katie was unaffected the next morning. Katie made it up to Uncle by actually calling him "Uncle" she can't say Aunt Erin or Grammy but she can say Uncle...arrggghhh.

The drive to Glenwood Springs/Aspen...it hadn't started snowing...yet. I am NOT a good mountain driver (many jokes at work are made at my expense)...so I am justifiably worried at this point.

HA...we made it over the mountains. It's lunch time and Katie is excited about trying her first cheese steak (doused in ketchup of course)
Me and Katie in Glenwood
The ladies in Glenwood (seriously can you tell sis is almost six months preggers...?)
Mommy and Katie in Aspen...side note: Katie waved and said hello to everyone on the street and NO ONE responded to her in Aspen...meanies!
Katie posing with the bear.
Katie realizing the bear is made of nails.
Me showing Katie that jumping on the bed is perfectly acceptable behavior.
Crystal River outside of Redstone, CO.
Katie trying to tell us that there are swings and she is not interested in taking anymore pics.
Marble from Marble, CO. All the marble for the monuments in Washington, DC came from Marble, CO. I let my Mom and Sis pick up a piece outside of an abandoned hotel. I made them leave a dollar. Who knows who will pick it up?
Pretty Aspen gold.
Prelude to a kiss in Vail. Katie got her first kiss from a St. Bernard!
I am laughing because Katie is having nothing to do with picture taking when she could be drunkenly pushing her own stroller.
More pretty.
Lovely scenery pic...with Marble and the Crystal River.
The Eisenhower tunnel...Thank you Jesus we are 3/4 of the way done with mountain driving and its not snowing today.
Down to Denver we go...I am focused on holding the steering wheel steady and not sweating thru my shirt as everyone else admires the fresh snow.
Amy, me and Katie at Romano's. Katie had mac and cheese and we discovered that violent arm flapping (I expected her to take off any minute) and happy bouncing up and down proceeded every single bite, and I think she ate more than her pregnant Mommy. She's a happy eater...
We miss you already! Katie slept with her arms tightly around Lil Buster last night. We made a big deal about it being his "new home" and he got the royal treatment...shown all around. She misses the real thing!
