Buried

I know I have posted a lot of snow pictures already and that is fairly remarkable! The five years I have lived in Denver I can count how many times we have gotten a foot of snow on one hand...much less in October! Traditionally we get our first snow on Halloween - not so this year. We have gotten a foot and counting today (an there is a 70-100% chance of snow through tomorrow night). All the schools are out (not work though) and all the kids are traipsing around with sleds! It would be really festive if I didn't have to drive to work in the morning :(

Our house...there is actually a roundtop pumpkin next to the front door and sidwalk but its buried...oh, and our neighborhood streets are not going to be plowed (poop)...I only hope I can get the jetta out of the neighborhood in the morning.

Hardworking hubby shoveling the driveway! Unfortunately I just looked out the front window and the driveway is already covered again!

Our tree-beating broom/measuring stick...We pulled this out and our total was 14 inches at 4pm!

Wish us luck! I get to make a judgment call about going to work in the morning (my judgment probably will be NO when the jetta doesn't make it past the front of the house), but Luke as emergency personnel has to be at work bright and early! Say some prayers for his safe travel...the snowy mountains are lovely to look at and fun to ski, but lots of snow in the city is a real bummer. I am off to snuggle with Buster in front of the fire with a cup of cocoa - God Bless!

  1. Every news channel had some sort of story about Denver on tonight. My vote...don't go to work tomorrow if it's bad. Love ya and praying for Lucas for tomorrow!

  2. I hope and pray that you did not go to work today. The first story on the weather this morning in Dallas was the weather in Denver. I met a man who was supposed to arrive yesterday from Spokane but was delayed because of the weather in Denver. Love you!
